More than a couple of months ago, Ms. Carmen Soo flew from Kuala Lumpur to Manila to attend the Islamic Fashion Festival and also to shoot for her cameo role in Jericho Rosales' Indie film, ALAGWA (Breakaway). It was also around that time that some of her fans (the SOOpers and KISsers) were able to come see her.
From what I've read online, Carmen will be playing a role of a Chinese wife. Nothing much else has been disclosed and Ms. Soo herself has been quiet about it. One thing is for sure, this film will be some sort of a reunion for the Kahit Isang Saglit stars. It will definitely brighten up the faces of the EchoMen fans!
Anyway, I did a little bit more googling about the film and here's what I've found:
"Alagwa" (Breakaway) is the 2nd feature film by filmmaker Ian Loreños (The Leaving, 2010). The film is inspired by a popular urban legend about a child's disappearance in Chinatown Manila. The film uncovers the dark facets of the underground business of human trafficking in the Philippines.
The lead roles are played by Jericho Rosales and child star Bugoy Cariño. Also to appear in the film are veteran actos Leo Martinez, Smokey Manaloto and Nanette Inventor. It is written and directed by Ian Loreños. The movie is set to be released this year.
